Maria Cimperman, RSCJ, Ph.D., received the St. Elizabeth Seton Medal from Mount St. Joseph University, an award given to recognize distinguished women in theology.
An accomplished theologian and author, Sister Cimperman was honored the afternoon of November 3 and also gave a lecture entitled “Touching Our Woundedness: Called to Hope, Healing and Reconciliation.”
According to the Mount St. Joseph University website: The St. Elizabeth Seton Medal is named in honor of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, foundress of the Sisters of Charity, the congregation that established Mount St. Joseph University in Cincinnati, Ohio, in 1920 and today continues to sponsor it. The University established the Seton Medal in 1966 in honor of the Mount’s 75th anniversary and to recognize distinguished women in theology.
