The Chapel at the Convent of the Sacred Heart, San Francisco (Broadway) was recently named in honor of Mary (Be) Mardel, RSCJ. Sister Mardel served as a teacher, principal and Director of Schools at Convent & Stuart Hall, and is credited with leading the transition of the school from one owned by the Society to an independent organization.
