“The Lord is my light and my salvation.”
Psalm 27
On this second Sunday of Lent,
we sit upon the mountain of transfiguration,
in the midst of our own transformation.
We are changed by encounter.
We listen with those
whose lives are changed by time,
living into the gain and loss
of aging in wisdom and grace.
We listen with those who love
and care for the land, made sacred
by students of heart and mind,
from generation to generation,
where both past and future intersect.
We listen to the voices
of those who see new visions
and climb new mountains
to transformation.
Here, in this space,
we await resurrection ...
Here, in this space,
we listen to the voices of Lent ...
