What a special gift it was when, arriving at the school at 1719 Massachusetts Avenue in Washington for the 9th Class (4th grade), I found that my birthday, October 20th, was the lovely feast of Mater Admirabilis! Such a celebration! Such a blessing! I followed her around to three other Sacred Heart schools and always found a special place for her in my heart and prayer!
My father was an Army Officer, I attended fourteen schools overall, but in three of them I found Mater in one hall or another: at City House in St. Louis, Eden Hall in Pennsylvania and Newton College in Massachusetts.
